5 Lessons I Learned From Coaching Tee-Ball

Uncategorized Oct 30, 2020

Coaching tee-ball has been an absolute joy.

My 4 year-old just finished his second year of tee-ball and it was my second time coaching.

I never intended to coach, but the first season, the league needed extra coaches so I volunteered. Well, I really enjoyed it and decided to do it again.

In doing so, I have five lessons I learned from coaching and I want to share them with you today!

1. Patience

When I first told my bride that I was going to coach, she wasn't so sure.

"Are you sure? You better develop some patience quickly," she urged.

She was correct. Yours truly lacked tremendous patience, but these three, four and five year-olds forced me to learn them fast.

They just don't move as quick as I would like or listen as well as I would like, but this is my oldest child's age group so I have to learn that a lot of it is just AGE.

The Growth Mindset

Uncategorized Sep 30, 2020

Comfortable.

I think the word comfortable is a great way to describe the modern man.

The average man is comfortable in every area of their lives.

-Go on a sunrise run. Waking up early is super-uncomfortable if you're not...

Uncategorized Aug 30, 2020

Courageous.

Bold.

Bravery.

Battle.

Heroic.

What do these words make you think of?

I have tremendous respect for our United States Military. These men and women from every branch sign their lives over to fight for our country. Why? Well because FREEDOM is never FREE. In fact, many have given their lives for citizens of this great nation. For them, it's about FIGHTING for something BIGGER than themselves. The well-being and betterment of our country is more important to them than their own safety and their own lives. This is an extraordinary perspective and one I'll be forever grateful for.

In this article, I'd like to propose an idea for you gentlemen to consider.

What would it look like if we became a society filled with MEN OF VALOR?

More specifically, what would your life look like if YOU transformed into a MAN OF VALOR?

Valor is defined (by the legitest word source ever Dictionary.com) as "boldness or determination i...
