The Growth Mindset

Comfortable.

I think the word comfortable is a great way to describe the modern man.

The average man is comfortable in every area of their lives.

Comfortable in their marriage.

Comfortable in their workplace.

Comfortable in their income.

Comfortable in their physical state.

Comfortable in their parenting.

Comfortable in their relationship with their Creator.

Comfortable in their mediocre mental state.

It's been said that "Comfort is the enemy of growth."

I'm here to encourage you to climb out of the ole comfort zone and re-gain a mindset of growth.

Here are a few practical things you can do:

-Spend 10 minutes in focused prayer. Thank Him for everything. Nothing is too small or too big. Ask Him for wisdom and direction.

-Spend $100 on your wife. Take her on a date and a mini shopping spree.

-Take a box of donuts to the office and let everybody know you're thankful for the community at the office.

-Go on a sunrise run. Waking up early is super-uncomfortable if you're not used to it.

-Have a "Yes" day with your kids. Just say yes to everything that isn't harmful to them. "Yes you can have the candy. Yes we can go get some ice cream. Yes you can have that $7.29 toy. Yes we can wrestle on the floor. Yes we can play outside together. Yes we can paint our fingernails together (this is questionable)."

-Read 20 pages in a personal development book.

I hope these ideas help and get your mind running with more ideas on setting yourself up for incredible growth in multiple areas of your life!

Go.

Be.

Great.
