Hey brother!
My name is Russ Warren, and I've been championing the cause of greatness for 14 years.
There are several reasons that this came to be.
The first thing was I got saved at the age of 12. For those who may not know what I am referring to...I gave my life to Jesus Christ in 6th grade. Now, most young people in the south who get saved usually wander off the path relatively easily and quickly, but this wasn't necessarily the case for me. Aside from my brief stint of porn addiction from 6th grade to 7th gra...
Okay, time out.
I started getting too personal too fast didn't I?
My bad, dude.
Let me back up a little.
You probably didn't click on this page and expect to read the words Jesus Christ and porn in back-to-back sentences, did ya?
Besides that...you didn't come here to hear about ole Rusty did ye mate?
Let's talk about men around the world.
Let's talk about US instead of ME.
I can talk about ME later. For now, let's talk about WE.
As an overall observation, MEN have fallen bro.
Men are weak-willed.
Men are weak-minded.
Men are weak-boned.
We are Spiritually Sucking, Physically Failing, Mentally Mortifying, and Socially Sickening.
We have dudes hooked on booz and the bosoms of other men's wives.
We have addictions to prescriptions and pornography.
We have junk food diets that give us too much junk in our trunks and trunks full of trinkets that we think are treasures but will be destroyed by moths and rust.
We don't excerise...unless you count exercing our minds periodically for the easiest way to cheat on our taxes and our wives/girlfriends and not get caught.
Most don't want to work.
Most lack the desire to be a great husband.
Most lack the desire to be a great dad.
We have flat bellies and flimsy wallets.
Worst of all, we lack drive.
Drive to compete.
Drive to strive.
Drive to win.
Drive to be great.
Straight up...
Male leadership has taken a nosedive.
We have a hard time finding dads who want to or are at least willing to coach little league baseball. It happens every season and it still shocks and saddens me that many dads just won't stand up. (Sidenote: dude, I get it, some people because of their work schedules, it's pretty much impossible for them to do...but not ALL the other dads).
Okay, so I think you get my point and I bet you agree too if you just open your eyes and look around.
But just because we have an epic problem in our country with Manesthesia (yep, made that one up...men asleep at the wheel and numb to the world)...but that doesn't mean those of us who care can't do our part.
So what do those of us who care do??
1) We grow.
We grow personally. We grow professionally. We grow spiritually. We grow mentally. We grow physically. We grow socially. We just grow in every way possible so we can each be the best we can be for our families and our communities.
2) We band together.
Together we can achieve more than we can on our own. We need each other to encourage and inspire one another to keep growing.
